You really need to be a fan of computer games and consider them to be of vital importance to care anything about this story. The characters have no depth, and might as well be metal boxes emitting words. There's no distinct time or location for the story, the lack of description makes it exist nowhere. I suppose if you can follow the ideas and find them interesting, you might enjoy the story; it was a dull slog for me.
