A creepy message-found-in-a-bottle story about an arrogant (something of an understatement) German submarine captain whose crippled ship drifts with the currents until it comes to rest in Atlantis. The story itself is fairly standard Lovecraft, but the character of the narrator makes it all worthwhile. Except that everybody is the same race, the captain might almost be considered racist.
