I like Doctorow a lot. I like his making his work available for free download even more. I don't know if he thinks of himself as a Libertarian but he's a man after my own heart.

Doctorow surprised me as a writer with a style of his own. I have enjoyed all of the stories in this book. Give him a chance and read anything of his you can find. I don't think you will be disappointed no matter what type of writing you prefer. He is a "keeper".
