I read this book on a whim, and was pleasantly surprised. Characters that at first appear to be disconnected are almost always connected in some bizarre way. I'm still trying to figure out how one character knew about the main character's servant.
Overall, I'd give it four out of five stars, with the final star withheld because the narrator excessively points out "this is a mystery" and takes up page space by asking lots of questions.
