Pretentious, off-putting, and utterly dull! There isn't a single character to like, the prose is full of self-importance, and nothing much actually happens. No fulfillment, no climax, no resolution, and absolutely zero reason to waste one's time with this offal. No wonder it's faded into obscurity! Even as a story which supposedly involves vampires, it's not even worthy of reading because of that.
