Using a list is a very simple and meaningful way to add information on Feedbooks.
Although we already group books together using "types", there's an unlimited number of ways books could be related to one another.
Some basic examples:
Viewing a list
Random Lists on "Discover"
You'll find links to those lists on multiple pages of the website.
First of all, there's a random lists block on the
index for "Discover" which might be the best way to stumble upon a list.
While browsing authors/books, you'll also notice an element named "Listed In" on the page of our authors/books.
Lists on the page for an author/book
Once you're on the page of the list, you'll see a short description of the list and the list itself that you can easily filter using our usual filters (
UI Help).
Filters for a list
If there's a related list (if one of the listed book is also included in another list), you'll notice a block in the right margin of the page with the related lists.

Creating a list
Any member can create a list too and include both public domain and amateur books in such a list.
On the page for every book, you'll notice that you can add the current book to a list.
Even if you haven't created the list itself yet, go to the page of the first book of your list and select "Add to a list".
Actions available for a book
If it's your first list ever created on Feedbooks, you'll be redirected to a page where you can enter both the name and the description of your list.
If you've already created a list, you can select an older list, or create a new one.
Once you're on the page where you can edit your list, you can easily edit both the description and the order of the list.
Simply click on the description of the list to edit it once again. For the books listed, you can drag & drop these items to change the position of the item listed.
To remove an item, simply press

next to the name of the book.
To continue building your list, just go to the next book and add it to the list that you've created.
You'll notice that your list won't show up on the main page or on the book's page if you have less than 2 items.
Editing/Destroying a list
You can edit or delete one of your list anytime you want. All of the lists are accessible from your profile, using the tab named "Lists". Click on

to edit one of these lists.
