In the end, this collection of essays is a minor addition to the Gibson canon. It’s a worthy one, though, and well worth a read.
For longtime readers of his novels, this feels like coming one step closer to The Source, or getting a peek behind the curtain, at the cogwork that makes his fiction move.
Gibson fans will read this book because we read everything Gibson, and I suspect more than a few, like me, will be a bit disappointed.
