Editorial reviews (3 reviews)

He may, at times, seem odd or random, but Baker is never an idiot. He is one of the most important writers we have.

The result here is a variegated and pleasingly patterned quilt of 34 carefully cut and stitched panels.

The book he has actually written may be titled “The Way the World Works,” but it’s anything but a wide-angled take on the human condition.
