Editorial reviews (4 reviews)

Not the revelation that was Keith Richards’ Life, but an entertaining and mostly well-written journey into the past, if light on rock ’n’ roll.

Waging Heavy Peace isn’t a great memoir, but it’s a great cult item, the equivalent of a bootleg recording of an obscure gig where the band hit a lot of bum notes, but there was plenty of stage patter and some covers that otherwise never saw the light of day.

Waging Heavy Peace’s lack of curiosity about certain areas of his life is frustrating, but its urge to keep the darkness at bay is heroic too.
