The Bones of the Old Ones

Editorial reviews

The Bones of the Old Ones

I give The Bones of the Old Ones the highest recommendation; the novel should appeal to readers who enjoy Fritz Leiber’s Fafhrd and the Grey Mouser tales, Robert E. Howard, Paul S. Kemp’s The Hammer and the Blade and Saladin Ahmed’s Throne of the Crescent Moon.

Suffice to say Bones of the Old Ones retains nearly all the charm of its predecessor, cementing Howard Andrew Jones as one of the preeminent voices in sword and sorcery, and the fantasy genre at large.

Shortcomings and all, a thumbs-up for series fans.
