Stick with Hauter past the first chapter, a detailed history of farming policy and politics, and you’ll be rewarded with a depth of understanding about how your food gets from farm to grocery store — and perhaps gain reasons to join the rising “good food” movement.

Despite its sometimes pedestrian prose and repetitions of previous works, "Foodopoly" makes an arresting case for the need for systemic changes to address the increasingly monopolistic control over food and farming.

Kirkus Reviews : Foodopoly (October 15, 2012)

While the text can be wordy and repetitive, the author’s message is clear, and the graphics pack a punch that hammers it home.
