Editorial reviews (4 reviews)

This is a novel which is historically rich and perfectly evocative in every line from the use of the Flash language used at the time by the criminal fraternity to the sights, sounds and smells of the cities and its locations.

Vividly atmospheric; the thieves' slang all by itself evokes 19th-century New York with wonderful specificity. Let's hope Faye finds more dirty work for her intriguingly conflicted hero.

Seven for a Secret is a happy marriage of historical and crime fiction and if either of those genres speak to you, Seven for a Secret is a must-read that stands well on its own, but will be a richer experience if you’ve read the first in the series.
