DEFINITELY!!! I collect ALL of a series before I read them, if I got them out of order. I love R E Howard, Edgar Rice Burroughs, Asimov, Marion Zimmer Bradley. They all are artists, painters with words, they won't just pick an average sentence, they look for the perfect words, the best phrasing.
