Well-written court intrigue in an evocative fantasy setting, full of engaging characters: curmudgeonly heroes, double-crossing villains and unpredictable fayre folk.

Without a doubt the best free sci-fi novel I've found on feedbooks so far. Satisfyingly chunky, what appears to be fantasy wends its way convincingly into sci-fi before building to an epic, planet-spanning climax.

The only disappointment is that there isn't more of this available...
