For what it is worth, Doctor Memory, I agree with you. Powers Inc. is also not my favorite either or the strongest of the DC2 Universe titles. It suffered from poor editing as well as too much aping of what came before in the actual comics. That is also probably why it only reached eight issues before it died. So, once I have those posted, it'll be over.
Yes because I can't possibly imagine anyone wanting to read a story based on a comic/game/movie/TV show when they could just watch or play it instead. (rolls eyes)
What part of fan fiction do you not understand?
Thank you so much, Stephen! I love the old pulp characters (and Doyle was pulp when it came to his adventure fiction). I'm going to enjoy reading this!
I haven't had a chance to read these yet but I do urge you to post your other Narnia fan-fiction works. There's nothing wrong with playing in other people's sandboxes (provided they're okay with it) and there is obviously a group of people who enjoy them.
I just finished it and, like I expected, it was a lot of fun. Ended a bit abruptly but I really do hope that you're planning on writing more with these characters!
This looks like a bunch of fun. I look forward to reading it - thanks!
Sorry for the earlier formatting. I have fixed it now.
Also, an additional comment.
If you go over to the actual DC Comics forums, they have their own policy for fan fiction: It can be posted but, if you do, you waive any right to sue DC if they use a story similar to yours.
Basically, the point I'm making is that DC allows fan fiction as long as nobody is charging money for it or otherwise making a profit. Its free advertising for them as well as a way for them to connect to their fans.
Heck, one of their writers, Devin Grayson, was discovered and hired by DC after they read her own fanfics.
No. I am not.
A couple of points:
1. National Publications (DC Comics) is fully aware of the websites where these stories come from. They're fan fiction. In no way does textual stories conflict with their market which reside mainly in graphic literature.
2. I have placed a disclaimer at the bottom of each story.
3. If Feedbooks has a problem with these stories, they are fully within their rights to take them down or request me to do so.
