I typically like to read books with lots dialogue, as I enjoy how characters reveal themselves in conversation. The first part of this book, has little dialogue, but serves as an example for an entertaining narrative. Later the characters develop a robust dialogue which is just as entertaining as the narrative.
A quick read. The story starts off like most detective stories of the time by having the main character ask lots and lots of questions. But the author eventually deviates from this pattern.
This is definitely rated G and touches on aspects of New York society during WWI.
