Never read Hodgson before this. Interesting blend between Lovecraft's vision of the Supernatural and Doyle's detective work. I wonder if Carnacki ever encountered something that could be considered "impossible" before he achieved the merely improbable?
Excellent story, but the Mobi version here seems to be full of typos and formatting errors. Anyone know a way to fix that?
I don't normally like Science fiction that relies heavily on tech to tell the story, but Doctorow handled it in such a way that the reader is cusious about the technology for a bit and then comes to understand it.
This story was my first real experience with Howard. I read the comics adaptation, and was pretty excited when I realized Kane wasn't a one shot character.
