This is an entertaining but wordy and rather strangely plotted book. Despite the fact that the characters' experience is characterize by ease instead of strife, the story is not boring. Usually you would expect characters to face setback after setback, but no, not in The Mysterious Island. In this book, the characters meet success after success. It's an interesting book and well worth a read, though it may take a couple weeks to get through it.
I just finished reading this for the first time in 20 years. The idea that they could get inside your mind, limit your thinking options, and eliminate love is frightening. This is an easy and quick read, I finished it in a weekend and so can you. Read it today!
