I agree with Faairy, this book was a fun read and I did want to find out what happened, but it did get frustrating when the main character was soooooo slow to catch on with what was going on right in front of her. It was also frustrating that when she did finally catch on she was so powerless to deal with the situation. Still, it was a fun read.
Overall I really enjoyed this book. The quality of the writing was pretty high, with sympathetic characters and an interesting premise and story. To an American reader some of the words are obviously British, but I especially like British English. Some parts of the book seemed slowly paced and could have used a bit of tightening up, and personally I found the resolution of the story unsatisfying, but I would still recommend it to readers who like urban fantasy.
