Thank you so much for the comment! I am indeed planning a sequel, which I hope to start work on after I finish my current project.

Please, don't worry at all about criticism; I've received plenty, and I'm not at all allergic to it. At this point, quite a few readers have mentioned how abrupt the ending was, and I apologize. This being my first novel, there's still quite a bit I have to learn, and I hope to provide more satisfying conclusions in the future.
