When I started reading I thought "sounds familiar" - but the story developed really surprisingly, and I really appreciated to read it!

I downloaded this to read after I'd finished some fairly vital work I had to do, promising myself I'd read it after I was done, but couldn't resist a sneak peek and was instantly hooked. The writing is very slightly unpolished in one or two places but that doesn't detract from the enjoyment of the book at all; the stories are all well-written and very tidily woven together, leaving an air of mystery and suspense throughout the whole story.
Each individual tale is a satisfyingly creepy stand-alone… (more)

Each individual tale is a satisfyingly creepy stand-alone story and all three of the stories told by the wonderfully mysterious Mr Venkman (and his strange diary) are expertly tied together in a whole that is rather more than the sum of its parts. The ending left me thinking, working out what might have happened and wondering what will become of the next person to walk into the Emporium. Definitely one I'll be returning to, as I feel there are more layers to this than I caught in my first read-through.
