Thanks OGolly. Yes, I agree. We can each highlight different parts of a story, and skim over others depending on our mindset, regardless of what the author intended. Thanks for taking a chance on the download. I'm glad you got something out of Carla. She still haunts me.

I have just finished reading this short story, and I wish to thank you for writing it. Every story affects each reader differently, who brings his or her own expectations and beliefs to the story, and therein lies the true uniqueness and beauty of story-telling. "Carla" made me think in some ways I about my own personal paradigms and epistemology that I haven't been able to reach until now, and preferred me a sort of break-through.
