What a great story..you really do a great job of getting us involved with the character. The ending was a little disturbing and unrealistic, but I understood its purpose. Great read!
I think this was one of the best short stories I have ever read. Loved the way the character's feeling change so much over such a short story and it's still believeable. It was great. :)

I should correct myself and say only the last two words were unrealistic and a bit harsh, not the entire ending. I enjoyed this story immensely!

Model, gourmet cook, fitness expert, and now a novelist. Max Barry seems to do it all.
The world needs more stories like this; short and (anti)sweet.
