<dc:description>Comparable to The Voyage of the Short Serpent, VIKING SAGA is a pulse-pounding literary historical thriller, set in 793 AD, when Norway was ruled by many small kingdoms and folk still worshipped the old gods. Halfdan the Black -- a young fighter and beer-soaked poet, with a Norse father and African mother -- vows revenge for the killing of his king. Halfdan's fate leads him through actual historical events, such as the raid on England's Lindisfarne nunnery and the first Norse contacts with Christianity. This spare, cunningly ironic novel is set against a brutal backdrop of life in the "Dark Ages", and features violent action, a unique love-story, odd twists, cool humour, primitive poems and more. Well-researched and fast-moving, VIKING SAGA follows Halfdan the Black as he battles, boozes and rhymes his way to revenge, love, wisdom ... and becoming Norway's first king.</dc:description>

<dc:description>Floreina is a cybernetically enhanced young woman with a vibrant future in the Amarrian Empire, a decorated turret commander and slave overseer aboard an Abaddon warship. But after a cruel “accident” and the repeated abuse of slaves, Floreina risks everything in a defiant act of mutiny.

Along the way, she learns that commandeering a battleship takes more than just artificially focused cunning, automated adrenaline injections, and simple, old-fashioned brutality. For her plan to succeed, Floreina must befriend a Minmatar slave.

But plans don’t always go as planned… And as the two fight for their lives, Floreina must find a way to reconcile their friendship with the racism that drives her career.

<dc:description>In 2007, the retired French aircraft carrier “Clemenceau” was purchased by a UK company, allegedly for scrap.

Yet the truth was dissimilar, as the Clemenceau was indeed bought by the Private Military Company “Sanders International” and christened “Privateer”.
The Privateer was to become the first private aircraft carrier in the world. It underwent a major refit and through a series of “intermediates”, the ship was restored to “fighting status”.

With the outgrowth of armed conflicts in the world proportional to the disengagement of the rich countries; the UN had no choice but to revise their 1989 UN Mercenary Convention, banning the use of mercenaries.

In an unprecedented move that may have opened the door to the regular use of PMCs, the UN Security Council mandate Sanders International to intervene in Somalia; on the war against piracy.

Yet getting there was already an adventure by itself and as the plot evolves, Mike Sanders will find himself trapped in a CIA plot to destroy the European Union.</dc:description>

<dc:description> Dr. Jim Sagacity is a Marriage and Family Therapist that has the special ability to see deep inside other people. He can see their souls. He volunteers at a Philadelphia hospital in order to be as close to death as possible, for during most fatalities, he watches the spirit of the recently deceased depart this world in a display of pure joyous wonder. Throughout his life, he celebrates his ability in secret, focusing on the sheer elation of these transitions, until one day he is shown that not all souls are willing or able to take that all important step to the next realm. Weaker souls, small and dim to Jim’s eyes, face a darker fate.

With a new understanding of what death might mean, Dr. Sagacity joins a group of other specially gifted people in hopes of assisting those spirits he believes lack the strength to move on to a new existence. Pooling their incredible and supernatural talents, they pinpoint those individuals that are facing death in the very near future. Jim Sagacity experiences the complexities of working with others focused beyond the constraints of this physical realm, but within a society attentive to the normal realities of death, despair and even murder. He finds that not everyone shares his views, that the truth can often be distorted, and that the world he lives in can be a very difficult and dangerous place. </dc:description>

<dc:description>(A story about clones, dinosaurs and the Concept of Benjamin Franklin).

Jacob White works for the Salmon Corporation. It's an easy job, provided you do what you're told and don't ask too many questions. Jacob is told to start bringing historical figures back to life, somehow- the details are up to him. He doesn't ask too many questions.

It all seems straightforward enough, until White realises that his latest task is actually impossible. Faced with a choice between unacceptable failure and the world's most elabourate bluff, White opts for the latter. Unfortunately for him things are more complicated than they appear, and his lie will have terrible consequences. In the city-state of America Little, every idea has its price and every fantasy comes with a fee. For his great illusion, Jacob will find the cost laid out in blood and revolution.</dc:description>

<dc:description>A "hero hunts MacGuffin, gets into trouble, maybe out of it" tech yarn. Has literary merit the way high-gloss pornography has artistic merit.

The paint-by-numbers:

"Agent Eric Gray has seen better nights (and a lot of better days) when a midnight call to duty revives an uneasy past and leads him onto an all-in quest of personal revenge, between rogue agents and a radical sect, towards an high-tech artifact that could spell salvation--or damnation--for mankind as we know it."

That's the B-movie trailer voice over blurb. Or Men's Health literature section abstract. The book itself might even have literary merit, even though perhaps the way high-gloss porn has artistic merit. Exciting, thrilling, funny, scary, sad, painful, uplifting, downcasting and a myriad of other inductions. A ride of constant offerings and more than just speed -- and even more platitudes. +1. </dc:description>

<dc:description>This is the first three chapters of my novel. Jackie Rutledge is a Chicago FBI agent who walks that fine line between competence and nervous breakdown. When a killer begins bleeding people dry, Jackie’s psychic partner Laurel, tells her to get off the case. The spirit world is involved and they aren’t playing nice. Worse, the prime suspect, one PI Nick Anderson, seems to exude death worse than the local cemetery. Jackie is not a “leave well enough alone” sort of woman however. She hasn’t let a bad guy get away since she was twelve, and this one will be no different. Unless of course, he’s not the killer.

Despite the evidence, Jackie does not get the “killer” vibe from Nick. He’s not at all what he appears. His past goes back far beyond the humanly possible. In fact, nothing about the case makes sense, and the more they dig, the more it seems Laurel was right. They’re dealing with a killer who effortlessly walks between the living and the dead, and she will need Nick’s help to take that step, because facing the dead is where Jackie’s competence ends and the breakdown begins.

<dc:description>A colleague working abroad begins mailing copies of disturbing documents home to a friend he left behind in the UK. The content of the information revealed to the reader becomes wide and varied covering how world governments are interlinked via such groups as the Bildebergs, the UN and the infamous and fabled Illuminati. The documents cover actual world events giving explanations of how these organisations constitute a secret government which, whilst spanning the entire globe, influence world politics and events such as monetary policy via the IMF, instigation of conflicts and warfare via the UN and even scientific cover-ups including global warming and the truth behind the alien phenomenon. The reader is presented with evidence of how actual and easily proven facts fit in with the information provided. Various world governmental conspiracies are unearthed from the existence of underground bases to the infamous New World Order.
Then the disappearances begin.

<dc:description>The future is boring. Technology has solved most of the world’s most pressing problems, leaving people with tedious work and mundane play.

Jack is a Security Officer Class 5, which sounds important, but isn’t. However, her banal life as a cubicle worker by day and tinkerer by night is interrupted when she discovers that her employer’s computer system has been invaded.

Jack enlists the help of her only friends – her co-worker, Gilles and Adrian, an online friend she’s never met – to help her track down the source of the invasion. Her investigation leads her to a shadowy group called the Red, where Jack learns that not everyone lives a life of quiet servitude.

Even though she believes that the Red are responsible for a series of gruesome attacks, Jack begins to become attracted to their worldview. In her search for the people responsible for the attacks, she confronts the leaders of the group as well as her own burgeoning sense of self-awareness.</dc:description>
