He received the David Cohen Prize 2007 for recognition of a lifetime’s achievement in literature. The Rain Bridge (A Story for Rory, with illustrations by Sarah Iremonger) and Rising Late (poems, with drawings and paintings by Donald Teskey) were published in 2017.
